KISSBITS were created in late 2021 as a collection of 6009 deflationary, artistically curated, and randomly generated NFT kisses designed to bring some spice to the single PFP metaverse. Each KISSBIT is unique and resides on the Algorand blockchain. The KISSBITS backend team consisted of Marco and Dave, while the illustrations were created by Elisetta.

KISSBITS introduced some of the most innovative features in the Algorand NFT scene, including a "death kiss" mechanic for token burning, collaborations with other NFT families, and participation in several charity events.
The KISSBITS project was eventually abandoned in late 2022, following significant issues within the Algorand ecosystem, including abuses by the Algorand Foundation and a major hack affecting a large number of wallets. Despite this, KISSBITS remain a notable example of artistic experimentation in the NFT space.
